Love a Lunatic is a four piece American alternative/hard rock band based in the outskirts of the greater Philadelphia,PA area. The band formed in early 2011 and have been hitting the Philly music circuit ever since. The band's lineup is Ryan Schurman (Lead Vocals), Eric Welch (Guitars), Larry Hart (Bass), and Ryan Trimble(Drums). The band has a high energy vibe with melodic undertones. The band's sound is a blend of styles ranging from progressive, hard rock, metal, funk, and a hint of grunge. The creative force behind the band comes from the chemistry from all four members, individually playing their own stylized ideas which get molded into a layered cohesive sound. Some of the band's musical influences that are in some way shape or form partly responsible for the very existence of Love a Lunatic are Tool, Deftones, Incubus, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Mars Volta, Radiohead, Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters, Meshuggah, Alice in Chains, GlassJaw, Dream Theater, Pantera, Karnivool, System of a Down, Primus, Chevelle, Pearl Jam, the list can go on....


The band recorded and released their debut "self-titled" EP in 2012, featuring their single "Breathe". The album was recorded at Studio 4 in Conshohoken, PA with Will Yip, who has worked with artists like Circa Survive, Lauren Hill, Balance and Composure, Title Fight, & Blacklisted. In support of their self-titled release, the band performed with various bands at venues like Theater of Living Arts(TLA), Trocadero, The Note, Legendary Dobbs, World Cafe Live, NorthStar Bar, the Fire, and Grape Room. 

 

‚ÄčLove a Lunatic's excited to announce the release of their New Album "Phantom Wings" which is scheduled for release on March 30, 2016. The band recorded and mixed the album at Forge Studios in Oreland, PA with Producer/Engineer Steve Rosplock (Phantasm, Passion Crimes, Weekender, Wonder & Fury). The record was mastered by Troy Glessner at Spectre Studios in Renton, WA (Death Cab for Cutie, Underoath, August Burns Red, MxPx, Anberlin). "Phantom Wings" features their new single "Fight", "Mr Mr", and "Hesitate".
